No pen

From February’s Writing Prompts, February 21, 2016

I need a pen. Where’s my pen!? I need to get these words out and down on paper!

Just when the words strike in your mind, it happens every time, and at the most inconvenient time. The thoughts stay in your head because you don’t have the tools to record them.

Then, hours later, when you finally get that pen, the words have disappeared. You think, and you think…for hours, maybe even days.

Eventually, the words come. It starts to flow and a big weight is lifted.

Note to self: Bring that pen wherever you go!

“Hang on. It gets easier, and then it gets okay, and then it feels like freedom.” ~Unknown

“No pen, no ink, no table, no room, no time, no quiet, no inclination” ~James Joyce
